Judy Purbeck has been teaching life drawing since January 2000. She has an M.A. in

Drawing in Fine Art Practice from Wimbledon College of Art and a B.A. Hons in Fine Art from Brighton Polytechnic (now the University of Brighton).

She is also a practising artist specialising in drawn portraits and in clothed figure drawing

The study of Life Drawing is one of the most challenging, but also one of the most rewarding disciplines in art. It's about learning how to look and analyse what you're really seeing and then transferring this awareness to your work.

The level of concentration in the classes is high, but the sessions are also very friendly and great fun

The topics covered include measured drawing; basic anatomy; line, tone and proportion; using various drawing media; and how to draw heads, hands and feet

We employ a wide variety of models, one a session, in poses lasting between 5 and 90 minutes
